It’s also worrisome that, at age 13, you’re fixating on the number you see when you step on the scales.
Strive to keep a healthy and balanced view of your weight and remember that it’s more important to be “fit” than it is to have the right number showing on the scale. If you eat a reasonably balanced, healthy diet and you get regular exercise, you don’t even need to step on the scales.
It is natural and normal at your age for you to be concerned about your appearance but don’t go overboard with it and become obsessed with how you look. Try to focus on maintaining good relationships with your friends and family, get involved in some volunteer work outside of school, and get the focus off what you look like.
